Mankato-Loyola 73, Bethlehem Academy 48. South Dakota State-bound guard Lindsey Theuninck scored 25 points to lead No. 5-1A Mankato-Loyola past Bethlehem Academy on Monday night in Mankato. Theuninck put the finishing touches on a sensational senior season that saw her finish second in the state in both total points (687) and points per game (27.5), as well as seventh in three-pointers made (62). She entered play on Monday tied with New Ulm’s Meleah Reinhart in scoring average, but fell just short of the 28 points she needed to snag the title. Senior guard RaeAnn Dose added 14 points for the Crusaders (23-2, 12-0) and junior forward Megan Mettler chipped in 12 points. 

Alden-Conger 56, Mabel-Canton 54. The Knights (3-15, 2-6) won a close game at home, squeaking past the Cougars (6-10, 2-4) by two points. 

Wheaton-Herman-Norcross 64, Clinton-Graceville-Beardsley 21. The Warriors (25-0) stayed perfect by smothering the Wolverines (4-16, 1-6) on the road. No. 3-1A Wheaton-Herman-Norcross scored an easy 43 points in the first half and held their opponents to just five total points in the second half. Both stellar offense and excellent defense carried the day for the Warriors.

Eden Valley-Watkins 68, Howard Lake-Waverly-Winsted 39. The No. 7-2A Eagles jumped ahead early, scoring 41 points in the first half en route to downing Howard Lake on the road. Eden Valley (21-3, 12-0) featured a balanced scoring attack. They were led by freshman Halle Jensen’s 16 points. Freshman Olivia Kuechle chipped in 12 points while senior Elaina Stommes had 11 points and sophomore Emma Schultz added 10 points in the win. Junior guard Macee Streich paced Howard Lake (2-21, 2-10) with 12 points and senior Ivy Fesenmaier added 10 points in defeat. 

Mountain Iron-Buhl 68, Mayer Lutheran 55. No. 1-1A Mountain Iron-Buhl (24-1) won their fifth straight contest, knocking off Mayer Lutheran (17-8, 9-3) on the road. Junior guard Mary Burke led the way with 24 points while senior guard Chelsea Mason contributed 20 points of her own in the win. Senior Emilee Gustin led Mayer Lutheran with 17 points in defeat. She shared the scoring load with juniors Mya Chmielewski (14 points) and Maddy Hucky (11 points). Mountain Iron-Buhl dominated the second half, outscoring Mayer 37-18.
