Maple Grove 65, Osseo 61. Maple Grove needed 27 points from Brad Davison to fend off rival and No. 13-4A Osseo. Tywhon Pickford chipped in 14 for the No. 2-4A Crimson. The Orioles’ Maurice Nelson and Zach Theisen scored 16 and 10 points, respectively.

Liberty Classical 95, Academy for Sciences and Agriculture 67. Liberty Classical ran out to a 51-32 lead at halftime, then cruised in the second half to notch the victory. Noah Nelson had 28 points and Luke Hill added 24 to lead a group of four Lions who finished scoring in double figures. Cole Walker paced the Eagles with 12 points and Jesse Rodriguez had 11. 

Minneapolis Washburn 54, Robbinsdale Cooper 51. The Hawks pulled within three points with 1 minute, 37 seconds to play, but they couldn't overcome the deficit. Terrell Adams sealed the win with two late free throws and finished with 11 points. Albert Demmings led the Millers with 15 points, matching Nathan Hill’s team-leading 15 points for Robbinsdale Cooper.

Hope Academy 90,The International School 47. The state’s sixth-leading scorer, Johnny Erickson, posted 30 points and nine assists in the opening round of the inaugural Twin Cities Athletic Conference tournament. Joey Erickson had 14 points, eight rebounds and nine assists, while Nate Elision notched a 17-point, 10-rebound double-double. Preston Dahlen scored a team-high 15 points for the Huskies.

Central Minnesota Christian 69, Russell-Tyler-Ruthton 51. Austin Marcus notched his third double-double of the season, scoring 14 points and grabbing 12 boards. Ethan Brouwer had a game-high 19 points for Class 1A, No. 4 Central Minnesota Christian. Cooper Hansen finished the game with 17 points as the Knights’ leading scorer.
