A look back at Tim Shaughnessy's performance in the 2010 Wild Skills Competition

For Minnesota high school skaters, playing in the Xcel Energy Center is a chance only for those that succeed in the Schwan Cup Tournament during the holiday break or for those that make it to the hallowed State Tournament in March.

Last year, however, the Minnesota Wild hosted several high school skaters for the 2010 Wild Skills Competition that closed out the Hockey Day Minnesota weekend festivities. One of those high schoolers made quite the impression.

Hill-Murray senior goaltender Tim Shaughnessy.

Shaughnessy was in goal for the shootout portion of the competition and faced fellow high school skaters as well as Minnesota Wild players - including Mikko Koivu.

This year, Shaughnessy will be taking part in the Hockey Day Minnesota festivities but this time as the starting goaltender for the Pioneers when they faceoff outdoors against the hosting Moorhead Spuds.
