Delano is turning some heads and making a strong push for the Wright County Conference championship.
With 20 games in the books, including a 6-3 victory over Orono on Tuesday, Feb. 1, the Tigers have a two-point lead over St. Cloud Cathedral in their conference.
State scoring leader Tyler Heinonen - 74 points (40 goals, 34 assists) in 20 games - and the Tigers have five more regular season games this season with all of them being conference matchups.
The first stop down the home stretch comes Thursday, Feb. 3, when Delano hosts second-place St. Cloud Cathedral.
