CHANHASSEN — The Faribault High School boys hockey team collected its second road win in as many nights, shutting out Chanhassen 4-0 Saturday one day after downing Owatonna.

“I’m really proud of the guys,” FHS coach Brad Ryan said. “It’s been a great 48 hours for us.”

Sean Lipinski had a big night for Faribault, scoring two goals and adding an assist. Jack Helgeson and Brandon Teske added one goal each.

Helgeson put the Falcons on the board early in the second period on a power play, and Lipinski followed with another goal only minutes later. Teske contributed the Falcons’ third goal of the period to put FHS up 3-0.

Lipinski’s second goal, scored late in the third period, gave FHS a 4-0 lead.

FHS had 22 shots on goal. Goalie Aaron Forgaard recorded 19 saves.

“Our seniors came to play (tonight),” Ryan said.

The Falcons improve to 8-12-1 overall (5-3 Big 9 Conference).

FHS plays again at 7:30 p.m. Thursday when the Falcons play at Rochester Century.
