Mr. Hockey finalist on Hockey Day Minnesota

Wayzata's Tony Cameranesi reflects on Hockey Day experience and his future

After leading the Upper Midwest High School Elite Hockey League in scoring with 33 points (16 goals, 17 assists) in 21 games this past fall and scoring a team-best 48 points (14 goals, 34 assists) in 23 games for Wayzata, it may not be a surprise Tony Cameranesi was selected as a finalist for the Mr. Hockey Award.

Cameranesi participated in the fifth annual Hockey Day Minnesota in Moorhead as the Trojans took on Roseau to kick off the doubleheader of outdoor high school games.

Credentials: Cameranesi is a co-captain for Wayzata and has amassed 48 points (14 goals, 34 assists) through 23 games this season for the Trojans. He participated in the Upper Midwest High School Elite Hockey League this fall on Team Northwest and led the Elite League in scoring with 39 points (18 goals, 21 assists) in 24 games. Cameranesi also played for Minnesota White in the 2010 Bauer National Invitational Tournament and helped lead the team to the championship title with four points (two goals, two assists) in the tournament's three games.
College committment: Cameranesi has committed to play for the University of Minnesota-Duluth after playing a year of junior hockey.
