South St. Paul 1, Mankato East 0. Owen Ramirez was the only player to successfully figure out the opposing goalie in this defensive battle, scoring 3:36 into the third period to break the scoreless tie and send the Packers home with the win. Goalie Brady Gallahue was perfect for the Packers, fending off all 36 Cougar shots on goal. Jack Cusey made 28 saves (.966 save percentage) for the Cougars.

Lakeville North 2, Eastview 1. Spencer Schneider and Shane Griffin each scored in the first period, setting up the Panthers with an early 2-0 lead that would last for the win. Will Johnson was the winning goaltender, posting a save percentage of .960 with 24 saves. Zach Anderson scored the Lightning’s lone goal as Ben Beattie stopped 25 shots.

Irondale 2, Spring Lake Park 1. Erik Reiff tallied his second point of the game on a third-period power play goal, a score that would hold to be the winner. Reiff assisted on the Knights’ first goal, also on the power play, early in the second period. Gunner Bourassa also had a goal and assist. Max Eilefson made 27 saves for the Knights while the Panthers’ Steven Lastovich made 26.

Chanhassen 5, Rogers 4. John Witcraft led the Storm offense, scoring a goal and adding three assists, including one on the game-winning goal with less than four minutes remaining in the third period. Witcraft was all over special teams play, assisting on a short-handed goal and a power play marker, and scoring his goal on a first-period power play. Cade Corbin was in net for the Storm, making 26 saves. Jake Jensen led the Royals with two points and Nathaniel Johnston stopped 33 shots.

Fergus Falls 4, Red Wing 0. Three players registered two points in the Otters’ shutout win, with forward Declan Young notching the first goal and eventual game-winner just 1:14 into the game. Young also assisted on a third-period goal. Drew Luhning made 12 saves to earn the shutout, as Zach Harding stopped 36 shots for the Wingers.

Minnetonka 5, Duluth Marshall 3. The Skippers started strong, scoring three goals in the first six minutes of the game. Luke Loheit assisted on the Skippers’ goal before adding a goal and another assist in the third period. Charlie Glockner made 28 saves in the win. Levi Stauber led the Hilltoppers with a goal and an assist, as six other players also registered one point. Cam Brandt stopped 22 shots for the Hilltoppers.

Holy Angels 4, Minneapolis 1. Four Stars goals were scored by four different players, though Owen Neuharth was the only to record two points, including scoring the eventual game-winning goal with 28 seconds left in the first period. Neuharth also assisted on a goal early in the third, as Luke Miller earned the win in net after stopping 22 shots. Minneapolis’ lone goal was scored by Jacob Erickson in the third period, and Tommy Walsh made 25 saves.

Centennial 6, Elk River 3. Jack Menne scored two goals and added two assists to pace the Cougars, with three of his teammates registering three points to lead the offensive output. Bryce Crowley stopped 30 shots for the Cougars. Connor Bizal and Taiyo Larson each tallied a goal and an assist for the Elks and Kyle Esperum recorded 22 saves.
