Player of the Week winner

Weston Schug, Becker/Big Lake: The senior forward didn’t stop after recording a natural hat trick in the first period, adding a goal on a power play and another on a penalty kill in the third period of a 13-2 win over the WSFLG Blizzard (Wis.). He also had an assist in the game.

Player of the Week candidates

Zach Zemlicka, Spring Lake Park: The junior forward was an offensive catalyst in Spring Lake Park’s 9-5 victory over Bloomington Kennedy, scoring once and tallying five primary assists -- including four in the first period.

Cody Moline, North Branch: The senior forward matched a season-high with six points (4 goals, 2 assists) in an 11-0 win versus Willmar.

Reese Kaehler, St. Francis: The senior forward went on a scoring tear and notched a natural hat trick in the final 1 minute, 6 seconds of the opening period, helping the Fighting Saints claim an 8-0 win over River Lakes. He also had three assists in the game to finish with six points.

Carter Ponto, Worthington: The senior goalie stopped 48 of 51 shots in a 3-2 overtime loss to Wadena-Deer Creek. He made 17 saves in the third period to hold the Wolverines scoreless and help send the game to an extra session.

Joe Daninger, Blaine: The junior goalie stopped 64 of 66 shots, helping the Bengals finish with a 2-2 tie against Duluth East. Daninger held the Greyhounds scoreless in the first and third periods with 27 and 16 saves, respectively.

Nathan Adrian, Roseau: The senior forward had three goals and three assists to notch a season-high six points in a 9-2 win over Minot (N.D.).

Nick Mattila, Ely: The junior forward scored three goals and tallied three assists in Ely’s 11-5 win over Moose Lake Area.

Cole Komarek, North Shore: The sophomore forward assisted on five of North Shore’s first six goals in a 13-3 victory over Legacy Christian. He finished the game with six assists.

Cam Kluender, South St. Paul: The sophomore forward netted his first varsity hat trick in a 7-1 win over Hastings.

Matthew Gellerman, South St. Paul: The senior forward tallied two goals and two assists in the Packers' 5-1 win over New Prague.
