Hermantown senior Ryan Kero finished with two goals as the top-seeded Hawks flew by the fourth-seeded Hibbing/Chisholm Bluejackets 6-1 in a Class 1A, Section 7 semifinal game at Amsoil Arena in Duluth, Minn., on Saturday.

Senior Nate Pionk finished with one goal and three assists for Hermantown, which plays the winner of Duluth Marshall/Duluth Denfeld semifinal for the section title at Amsoil Arena on Feb. 25.

The Hawks struggled to put the puck past Bluejackets senior goaltender Isiah Dilley during the first period, but Hermantown solved the problem and exploded for four goals in the second period.

Cole Koepke and Kero each scored a third-period goal, pushing the Hawks' lead to 6-1.

Hermantown junior goalie Luke Olson made 14 saves, while Dilley stopped 34.
