Hibbing/Chisholm at East Grand Forks
7:30 p.m., Friday, Dec. 11

All eyes in the high school hockey community from the Iron Range to the Red River Valley will be focused on the East Grand Forks Civic Center Friday night, eager and hopeful to see several questions answered.

Will the East Grand Forks bounce back to its regular form? Is Hibbing/Chisholm for real?

What fun it will be to see it play out.

The No. 3-1A Green Wave (4-2) should be ready to get back to business after a forgettable weekend in the Twin Cities that saw them surrender a combined 16 goals over six periods while dropping games to No. 2-1A Breck (9-1) and No. 6-1A St. Paul Academy (7-3).

The two-time defending Class 1A state champions will take the first step against a Hibbing/Chisholm team that is 4-0 and has scored at least six goals in every game.

Bluejackets junior defenseman Scott Perunovich, a Minnesota-Duluth commit, has amassed an impressive 11 assists already this season to compliment his three goals.

Sophomore Jarrett Lee leads No. 10-1A Hibbing/Chisholm with five goals while Logan Radovich and Zach DeBoom each have four.

The Bluejackets have yet to allow a shorthanded goal while killing nine penalties.
