Bemidji at Thief River Falls
7:30 p.m., Tuesday, Dec. 8

Bemidji and Thief River Falls can make a significant splash in their respective classes this season in this matchup between up-and-coming Mariucci Conference teams.

The No. 11-2A Lumberjacks (2-0-1) haven’t exactly been taking it easy. After beginning the season with a 2-1 victory over No. 4-1A St. Cloud Apollo, they headed to No. 7-2A Grand Rapids and left with a 1-1 tie against a very talented Thunderhawks squad. Bemidji followed that with a 5-0 home win over Moorhead on Dec. 1.

The No. 11-1A Prowlers lost for the first time this season on Saturday, when they fell 4-1 at No. 2-1A Beck. But Thief River Falls is still riding a wave of momentum following the four-game winning streak that started the season for a program that finished 14-14 last year.

Prowlers forward Ethan Johnson has seven goals and four assists in five games.

Bemidji took both meetings during conference play last winter.
