Warroad at Roseau
7:30 p.m., Thursday, Jan. 7

This meeting doesn’t mark the high point of the rivalry between these two legendary hockey communities, but when Warroad and Roseau get together, it’s a top game.

Warroad (5-8) enters the week having won four straight games, a stretch in which the Warriors scored 19 goals and seem to have changed direction after a dismal start.

Roseau (7-5-1) is also on a four-game winning streak and takes a winning record into the new year. The Rams have three skaters with more that 20 points already, led by juniors Bryden Stoskopf (9-14-21) and Brandon Lund (10-11-21). Senior Logan Monsrud (11-8-19) is the top goal scorer.

At the start of the new year, neither side has recorded a Mariucci Conference victory and sit with 0-3 mark. One team is going to get a league win Thursday at Memorial Arena in Roseau and continue its upward trajectory.
