North Shore at Greenway
7:30 p.m., Thursday, Jan. 21

North Shore and Greenway are teams that could contend with Hermantown and Hibbing/Chisholm at the top of the competitive Class 1A, Section 7, and they meet in a critical game Thursday night in Coleraine.

The No. 11-1A Raiders (15-3-0) have been productive on offense all season, and aside from last week’s 2-1 loss to No. 1-1A Hermantown, Greenway has scored at least two goals on every occasion.

The Raiders are averaging nearly six goals per game while allowing just 1.56. Kole Kalish (22), Taylor Lantz (16) and Grant Troumbley (16) have combined for 54 goals through 18 games.

North Shore is having a promising season, and the Storm (12-3) enter the week within reach of matching last year’s win total (14).

A co-op program of Silver Bay, Two Harbors and Cook County High Schools, the Storm have also been effective and efficient offensively for most of the season, averaging five goals per game.

North Shore sophomore forward Chad Nordean has a team-high 15 goals (15-20-35) through 15 games while junior Tanner Ketola (13-19-32) is right behind.
