The battle for the Big 9 Conference takes place Tuesday evening at Northfield Ice Arena, as the Raiders host Rochester John Marshall in a tilt between the league's top two teams.

The Rockets (17-5-0, 13-0-0) have been impressive all season, averaging five goals per game while allowing just 1.64. John Marshall's special teams have been solid as well, killing 87 percent of its penalties and converting at 26 percent on the power play.

A pair of senior forwards are responsible for the bulk of the Rockets’ goal production, as Isaac Lamppa (24-19-43) and Brady Dahl (22-23-45) are among the conference's scoring leaders.

In goal, Brady Meyers has a .159 goals-against average and a .935 save percentage. The senior goalie also has a 17-5 mark with four shutouts and has played all but 34 minutes this season.

John Marshall won the first meeting 5-3 on Dec. 17.

The Raiders (16-5-0, 16-1-0) are also scoring consistently this season, averaging 5.19 goals per game. They are also clicking on the power play at 35 percent.

Northfield rides a 10-game winning streak into Tuesday night, a stretch of success that dates back to a 9-6 win over Owatonna on Jan. 5.

The No. 17-1A Raiders are getting scoring production from senior forward Ryan Torbenson (19-25-44) and sophomore Jacob Halvorson (20-7-27), though seven different skaters are averaging better than a point per game.
