Farmington vs. Lakeville North
7:30 pm, Saturday, Dec. 10

Farmington got the better of Lakeville North twice last year, including a victory in the Class 2A, Section 1 tournament that denied the Panthers a chance to repeat as state champs.

The Panthers began this season with a huge victory over No. 6-2A St. Thomas Academy on Dec. 3, holding on through a messy third period for the 6-5 overtime win -- one that indicates Lakeville North might have the skill and toughness to continue the brand of hockey the program has been come to know.

Farmington (2-2) was busy playing four games through the first week. The Tigers were on both ends of lopsided results, falling to Edina 7-0 on Nov. 29 and Eden Prairie 5-1 on Dec. 3. They also rolled in Rochester, defeating Mayo and John Marshall by a combined score of 13-3.

Farmington junior goaltender Gavin Enright made 47 saves during the Tigers’ loss to Eden Prairie, and he's compiled a .875 save percentage through the first four games.
