Anoka vs. Maple Grove
7 p.m., Saturday, Dec. 10

In a rematch of last season's Class 2A, Section 5 final, Anoka heads to Maple Grove on Saturday night for the first of two scheduled meetings between these Northwest Suburban Conference rivals.

Anoka won the playoff game and advanced to the state tournament, but the Tornadoes (1-0) have a lot of new faces this season.

Last year’s leading scorer, Isaac Johnson, elected to forgo his senior season and is playing for Des Moines and the United States Hockey League.

Junior forward Carter Perry stepped into the scoring void in Anoka's first game, recording a hat trick, and could be a go-to offensive threat.

The Crimson (2-0) roll into the week scoring more than 4.5 goals per game behind senior co-captains Jarrett Cammarata (2-6-8) and Sam Huff (4-2-6), who are producing early for the No. 17-2A Crimson offense.
