Hermantown heads to the MAC in St. Cloud to play St. Cloud Cathedral in a game featuring two of the best Class 1A hockey teams, as well as a meeting between schools needing to travel significant miles to maintain their competitive schedules.

Hermantown has been impressive on both sides of the ice during its current eight-game winning streak. Moreover, senior Cade McEwen has started every game in goal, boasting a .938 save percentage with two shutouts and just one defeat.

St. Cloud Cathedral (9-1-2) hasn’t lost since falling 5-3 at No. 3-1A St. Paul Academy on Dec. 10. The No. 5-1A the Crusaders are seeing steady production from seniors Michael Spethmann (8-18-26) and Jake Van Halbeck (14-11-25).
