Eden Prairie at Duluth East
4 p.m., Saturday, Jan. 14

Eden Prairie travels north to face Duluth East at the Heritage Sports Center for a Saturday afternoon clash of Class 2A titans.

Eden Prairie (7-4-2, 2-1) was impressive in its first game of the new year, tearing through Prior Lake for a 7-0 home victory on Saturday night. It was the Eagles' first win in the past five games, a stretch in which they did not score more than two goals in any matchup, including a 2-2 tie with Hill-Murray in the Schwan Cup Gold Division quarterfinals.

Casey Mittelstadt (10-15-25) leads the No. 8-ranked Eagles in scoring and the senior center is joined by Hunter Johannes (8-14-22) as the team's only players with more than 20 points.

The Eagles will face Cloquet-Esko-Carlton the night before facing Duluth East.

The No. 12-2A Greyhounds (6-4-1) have been up and down all season and haven't won back-to-back games since early December. Their offensive output is growing slowly (3.09 goals per game), while the defense continues to prove stingy (1.91 goals per game).

Eight different players have at least three goals this season, while junior forward Ian Mageau (4-8-12) leads the team in points and is tied for the most goals.
