St. Paul Academy vs. Minnehaha Academy

In an Independent Metro Athletic Conference meeting between two of Class 1A’s top-12 teams, Minnehaha Academy hosts St. Paul Academy Tuesday night.

St. Paul Academy (11-2, 1-1) has seen outstanding offensive production this winter, averaging nearly six goals per game (5.69 to 1.77), nealry four better than its opponents.

The No. 4-ranked Spartans are led by senior Matt Dahlseide (18-19-37) and junior Dev McCabe (16-14-30), who average more than 2.5 points a game.

Minnehaha Academy (13-2, 1-1) counters with one of the best goaltenders in the state in senior Justin Evenson, who leads the state in wins (13) and ranks third in save percentage (.943).

A 4-0 loss last week to Breck snapped the Redhawks' 10-game winning streak and dropped them into a tie for second place along with St. Paul Academy. The winner of this game will remain in the conference title race while the loser could fall out of contention.

Seniors Jake Lundquist (18-17-35), Alex Evenson (12-23-35) and Alex Jordan (11-22-33) average more than two points per game for No. 12-1A Minnehaha Academy.
