Minnetonka at Edina
7 p.m., Thursday, Jan. 26

Edina (11-5-1, 1-2) is on its heels after two straight losses late last week (to Eden Prairie and Hill-Murray) snapped an eight-game unbeaten streak. The Hornets are sure to drop a bit from their No. 2-2A ranking, but Edina has an impressive body of work and is sure to be a challenge.

The Hornets field a young roster that is continuing to learn on the job. The scoring, though inconsistent at times, has been done by committee, with four players sitting between 11 and 13 goals. In net, junior Garrett McKay is thriving, posting a .901 save percentage and 2.27 goals-against average through an extremely tough schedule.

Minnetonka, ranked No. 14-2A, enters the week winners of three straight games. The offense is coming around for the Skippers (11-6, 2-0), and the special teams play has been good. The power play has been converting at 33 percent and the Skippers are killing penalties at a rate of 89 percent.

Senior forward T.J. Rogers (11-11-22) leads the Skippers in scoring.
