Minnetonka at Eden Prairie
7 p.m., Saturday, Feb. 18

Minnetonka visit to Eden Prairie provides these Lake Conference rivals a solid test before heading into the Class 2A, Section 2 tournament -- perhaps the state's deepest field with the inclusion of Holy Family Catholic and Prior Lake.

Eden Prairie (17-4-2, 6-0-0) enters the week as the top-ranked team in Class 2A for good reason. The Eagles have been on fire since the start of the new year, winning 11 straight games after recording four losses in two weeks during December.

The Eagles offense boasts a goals differential of plus-3 (4.87 goals for, 1.70 allowed) per game and is powered by two seniors. Forward Casey Mittelstadt (18-39-57) leads the team in goals and assists while Hunter Johannes (15-24-39) is second in points.

Minnetonka (13-10-0, 4-3-0) is coming off a loss to Edina (5-3) in which it was slowed by penalties and outshot 38-24. The No. 14-ranked Skippers will be looking to turn things around this week.

Senior forward TJ Rogers leads Minnetonka with 16 goals and 28 points.

Eden Prairie won the first meeting this season, recording a 4-1 road victory on Feb. 2.
