Edina vs.

Cretin-Derham Hall

7:15 p.m., Tuesday, Dec. 19

Edina, arguably the state's most lethal offensive team, averaging 6.71 goals per game, put together one of its most dominant performances in the history of its holiday tournament this past weekend, with lopsided wins over Grand Rapids (11-0), No. 11-2A Elk River (10-7) and No. 9-2A Eden Prairie (7-1).

Minnesota commit Sammy Walker showed his versatility this past weekend, as he tallied five goals against Elk River on Friday and notched three assists on Saturday. After a successful weekend at home, No. 1-2A Edina now takes its perfect 7-0 record on the road to No. 8-2A Cretin-Derham Hall, a fellow Class 2A, Section 6 contender.

The Raiders were handed their first loss of the season on Saturday, falling 5-4 to No. 12-2A Wayzata in overtime. It was the only game Cretin-Derham Hall (4-1-1, 2-0-1) has surrendered more than three goals in this season.

Cretin-Derham Hall is led by two of the state's top sophomores in Matthew Gleason (8-5-13) and Nick Davison (3-5-8).
