Roseau vs. Warroad

7:30 p.m., Thursday, Jan. 10

The Mariucci Conference is competitive once again, and Roseau and Warroad need victories to keep pace with the other league contenders.

Thief River Falls and East Grand Forks each have three league wins entering the week, so the Rams and Warriors cannot afford setbacks if they’re to have a chance at securing a conference championship.

Aaron Huglen (12-18-30) has helped Roseau (9-2-1, 2-0-1) to an eight-game winning streak.

Warroad lost a couple league matchups in December, and a win over Roseau would help the No. 9-1A Warriors (8-5, 1-3) continue their success into the new year. They started the season 3-5 before its current five-game win streak. Grant Slukynsky (11-17-28) and Owen Meeker (11-14-25) lead the team in points and are tied for a program-best 11 goals apiece.
