Many of the star players from last season’s Class 1A state championship game will again command the spotlight when these teams meet in a rematch at the Municipal Athletic Complex in St. Cloud.
Forward Ben Troumbly and defenseman Christian Miller remain catalysts for No. 7-1A Greenway, while forwards Jack Smith and Blake Perbix. and defenseman Reid Bogenholm all return for the No. 1-1A Crusaders, who won that title game 5-2. St. Cloud Cathedral star Nate Warner, arguably the best of the bunch, hasn’t played this season because of injury.
Greenway (1-1-0, 1-0-0) lost 6-3 to No. 8-2A Minnetonka in its most recent outing last Saturday. St. Cloud Cathedral (1-1-0, 0-0-0), meanwhile, is coming off a 5-2 upset loss on Nov. 29 to No. 6-1A Warroad.
