In an attempt to beef up its schedule since opting up to Class 2A a couple of years ago, Blake has added the likes of Hill-Murray, a three-time state champion that almost always is in the Class 2A title discussion.
This year is no exception as the No. 7-2A Pioneers (1-0-0, 0-0-0) boast elite players at key positions (Charlie Strobel and Nick Pierre at forward, Joe Palodichuk at defense and Remington Keopple in goal, among others).
The No. 9-2A Bears (3-1-0, 0-0-0) also have the talent to make a title run, with Minnesota recruit Joe Miller (two goals, three assists) leading the forwards and senior co-captains Will Svenddal and Lachen Reid joined by senior Ben Dexheimer, a Miami University commit, on defense.
