Rosemount vs. Prior Lake

7 p.m., Thursday, Jan. 23

There’s no direct playoff implications here (both are in Class 2A, with Rosemount playing in Section 3 and Prior Lake competing in Section 2). No, this just figures to be a highly competitive game between the two best teams out of the incredibly deep South Suburban Conference.

Rosemount (15-3-0, 8-2-0) has been one of the state’s most consistent teams all season, thanks in part to the brilliant offensive play of Wisconsin commit Luke Levandowski, a junior with 23 goals and 39 points for the No. 3-2A Irish.

The rise to prominence for Prior Lake Prior (11-4-3, 6-3-2) has been fueled by its all-sophomore line of Will Schumacher (11-17-28), Alex Bump (9-16-25) and Sam Rice (9-11-20).
