Mankato East vs.

Rochester Century

7 p.m., Tuesday, Sept. 29

Remarkably, three of Mankato East’s last four games have ended in 0-0 ties. Now would be an opportune time for the Cougars to end their goal-scoring drought, given their Tuesday matchup against Rochester Century could determine the winner of this fall's Big 9 Conference crown.

It’s asking a lot for Mankato East’s stout defense to pitch another shutout, given the Panthers (6-0-2, 6-0-2) are led by super scorer Addie Clarey, a junior who ranks among the state leaders with 14 goals.

Sophomore Ella Huettl, a varsity regular since she was in the seventh grade, has a team-best six goals and is one of the most likely players to end the scoring drought for Mankato East (5-0-3, 5-0-3).
