Jake Boltmann: It never comes as a surprise to see an Edina player come off the board in the NHL draft, but Boltmann went earlier than expected based on most predraft rankings when Calgary selected him in the third round. The first Minnesota high school player taken in the draft, Boltmann wrapped up his 2019-20 season with Lincoln in the USHL after playing his senior year in Edina. He is back in Lincoln for the upcoming season. Someone from the team managed to capture video of the moment at practice when Boltmann learned he had been drafted by the Flames.
