Outdoor high school hockey gets underway this weekend with four games featuring six ranked teams: No. 6 Benilde-St. Margaret’s vs. Minnetonka at 12:30 p.m.; Lakeville South vs. No. 18 Bloomington Jefferson at 3:00 p.m.; No. 14 White Bear Lake vs. No. 16 Cretin-Derham Hall at 5:30 p.m.; and No. 20 Eagan vs. No. 15 Eastview at 8:00 p.m.

For the sake of players and fans, let’s hope the state emerges from its recent deep freeze.
