No. 7-A New Prague at Farmington
7:15 p.m., Tuesday, Jan. 28
At Schmitz-Maki Ice Arena, Farmington

Both teams are still unbeaten in the Missota Conference and angling for a title. New Prague holds a slim lead courtesy of an extra tie, so this game could crown the champion. Farmington has very quietly — and efficiently — racked up a 15-3-1 record and only one loss in its last 16 games (14-1-1). The Tigers could be the No. 2 seed in the Section 1AA playoffs and have terrific balance. Justin Novak (12-28-40) leads the team in scoring, but 11 Tigers have double-digit point totals already. A loss to Hermantown last Saturday halted New Prague’s 10-game unbeaten streak (9-0-1), but the Trojans are still the likely top seed in the Section 1A playoffs. Back on Dec. 19, these two teams tied 4-4 as New Prague’s Austin Kilian (15-9-24) scored a hat trick on power play goals.
