Buffalo coach steps down

Veteran coach Mike MacMillan leaves bench after 30 years

Veteran Buffalo coach Mike MacMillan announced Monday, Sept. 12, he is stepping down from coaching after 30 years.

MacMillan spent his last 18 years coaching the Bison. MacMillan previously coached at New Ulm. He began his high school coaching career at the ripe age of 18 in Menomonie, Wis., while playing college hockey at the University of Wisconsin-Stout.

MacMillan, a Duluth Denfeld graduate, is an active member of the Minnesota High School Hockey Coaches Association and serves as the organization's executive director. He will continue with his duties in that position.  

The Overtime Radio network disussed MacMillan's decision to step down, his career and future plans.
