Top performer winner

Tobin Florhaug, St. Paul Johnson. The junior goaltender began his season with a perfect game, stopping all 31 shots he faced against Thief River Falls on Nov. 30 to earn a 3-0 shutout victory.

Top performer candidates

Austin Carlson, Woodbury. The senior goaltender posted a .971 save percentage, stopping 34 shots — three times as many as the opposing goaltender — in the Royals' 1-0 loss to Champlin Park on Nov. 30.

Cody Croal, North Branch. Croal, a junior forward, helped fuel the Vikings to an 8-0 victory over Minnesota River on Nov. 29, recording his second consecutive hat trick and two assists — including one on the power play — in the win.

Shane Donovan, Northern Lakes. The senior forward led the Lightning to an 11-2 triumph over Prairie Center on Nov. 26, tallying two goals and four assists. Donovan scored once shorthanded and tallied one of his assists on a power play.

Tobin Florhaug, St. Paul Johnson. The junior goaltender began his season with a perfect game, stopping all 31 shots he faced against Thief River Falls on Nov. 30 to earn a 3-0 shutout victory.

Reece Hubbard, Little Falls. The senior defenseman had a breakout game, tallying six points as the Flyers defeated Crookston 7-3 on Nov. 30. Hubbard notched a goal to open the game’s scoring midway through the first period then assisted on five goals (three of which were on the power play).

Austin Jozwick, Hutchinson. Jozwick, a senior forward, accounted for eight points in two of the Tigers’ wins last week, one at Willmar (6-4 on Nov. 26) and the other at Rochester Lourdes (7-0 on Nov. 30). Against Willmar, Jozwick tallied a power-play goal in the first period, then scored in the second period before securing the win with an empty-net goal with time expiring in the third. Versus Rochester Lourdes, Jozwick scored four consecutive goals during the second period — two of them on the power play — before tallying an assist on the final goal in the third period.

Caleb Mayer, Lakeville North. The senior goaltender played in all three Lakeville North wins last week as the Panthers outscored their opponents 16-5. Mayer allowed five goals on 97 total shots — the highlight of the week being a 49-save effort during a 5-2 victory against Chaska on Nov. 29. In the three games combined, Mayer posted a .948 save percentage and 1.67 goals against average.

Parker Sell, Pine City Area. In the Dragons’ 4-3 overtime win on Nov. 30 against Mound Westonka, the junior forward assisted on two goals before netting the game winner 6 minutes, 48 seconds into overtime.

Grant Slukynsky, Warroad. The senior forward, who is committed to Northern Michigan, recorded seven points in the Warriors’ two wins last week (4-2 against Bemidji on Nov. 26 and 5-2 against St. Cloud Cathedral three days later). Slukynsky tallied three assists against Bemidji, and two goals and two assists against St. Cloud Cathedral. Four of his points were on the power play and one goal was shorthanded.
