BSM tied for most players to participate in league this season.

The Upper Midwest High School Elite League named the rosters of its seven Minnesota teams and Benilde-St. Margaret's landed eight players on the rosters of five different teams.

The Red Knights were one of two high school squads to land eight student-athletes in the league, along with Maple Grove.

Three BSM squad members will suit up for SIT Financial Services -- senior defenseman James Callahan, senior goalie Carson Limesand and junior defenseman Tristan Sarsland.

Callahan, an honorable mention All-Metro West conference selection, led the Red Knights in ice time last season while scoring three goals and 21 points in 28 games. Over three varsity seasons, he has not missed a game, playing in 82 consecutive games. He will serve as a co-captain this season.

Limesand earned second-team All-Metro and, for the second consecutive season, first-team All-Metro West Conference, honors after posting career bests with a 2.11 goals against average and .915 save percentage. The team's number one goalie over the past three seasons, He has already established school records with 1,507 career saves and 3451:22 minutes played. He is also second all-time with 13 career shutouts. He will serve as one of BSM's co-captains in 2020-21.

Sarsland, a Colorado College commit, led the Red Knights last season with a +31 rating while tallying three goals and 14 points in 27 games. He also tied for second on the team with 26 blocked shots and was third in ice time.

A pair of BSM forwards will be teammates with Twin Cities Orthopedics this season -- senior Jonah Mortenson and junior Adam Marshall.

Mortenson had career highs with 79 shots on goal and a +12 rating. He tallied eight goals, matching his career high, and 16 points.

Marshall tied for the team lead in goals, 18, as a sophomore and registered 28 points in 28 games. He also led the team with 116 shots on goal while earning honorable mention All-Metro West Conference honors.

Senior forward Grant Ellings will play for MAP South during the fall season. In his first season at BSM, he scored seven goals and 19 points in 28 games while tying for the team lead among forwards with 13 blocked shots.

Senior forward Jackson Bisson will play for MPLS Magazine. A second-team All-Metro West Conference selection last season, he scored nine goals and 25 points in 28 games while tying for the team lead with three game-winning goals. He has also been named as a co-captain for the upcoming Red Knight season.

Junior defenseman Brady Yakesh will play for TDS Transportation. He missed the first half of the 2019-20 season due to injury but bounced back to score two goals and 11 points in 16 games while blocking 17 shots. He has been named a co-captain for the Red Knights this coming season.

After finishing runner-up in Section 6AA for the second consecutive year, BSM will look to improve on an 18-win season this season with 12 returning letterwinners.
