Brock Faber: The first Minnesotan taken in the draft, selected by Los Angeles with pick No. 45, is the only one in the group who never played high school hockey. Faber has the rare distinction of making USA Hockey's National Team Development Program as a bantam, following his final season for Osseo/Maple Grove. The defenseman is headed to Minnesota, where he will be the youngest player on the Bob Motzko's roster this season.

Wyatt Kaiser: Chicago continued the run on Minnesota players in the draft by selecting Kaiser one spot after Boltmann, using the 81st selection on the Andover defenseman. Kaiser finished his senior season with 43 points and was a finalist for the Mr. Hockey Award in 2019-20. He will play at Minnesota Duluth this winter.

Jackson Hallum: The forward could be a rare example of a NHL-draftee who will be playing high school hockey this season, as he looks primed to rejoin St. Thomas Academy for his senior season. The speedy Hallum was instrumental in the Cadets' unlikely run to the Class 2A state tournament last season and will be looking to take the next step if he returns to the roster this year.

Jack Smith: Injuries limited Smith to just 17 games in his senior year at St. Cloud Cathedral, but he still racked up 51 points for a Crusaders team that came just short of defending their Class A title. Smith will now likely play a year of juniors before moving on to suit up for Minnesota Duluth.

Blake Biondi: Last year's Mr. Hockey winner from Hermantown slipped to the fourth round before being snapped up by Montreal at pick No. 109. Biondi finished his high school career with 216 total points and will play at Minnesota Duluth for the upcoming season.

Mason Langenbrunner: The son of Cloquet legend Jamie Langenbrunner began his high school career playing for the Lumberjacks before moving to Eden Prairie prior to his junior year. Jamie, the head of player development with the Boston Bruins, will get the chance to work with his son, who was taken with the 151st pick. Mason, a defenseman entering his senior year in high school, will eventually play his college hockey at Harvard and likely hopes when his NCAA career concludes to cross the Charles River for a chance to make the Bruins.

Joe Miller: The last Minnesotan off the board tallied 80 points during his junior season, leading Blake to its first state tournament in Class 2A. Miller could return to the Bears for his senior season, but all indications are the Minnesota commit will play with Chicago in the USHL this year.
