We task our reporters with identifying several intriguing games throughout the state to assemble our Top Games of the Week. The matchups are presented in no particular order, and when there are additional games we want to highlight, we’ll include them with brief notes.

Other games to keep an eye on

St. Thomas Academy vs. Edina, 8 p.m., Friday, Feb. 5. After easing into the season in January, the schedule now becomes much more challenging for No. 3-2A St. Thomas Academy (6-0-0) and Vegas Golden Knights draft pick Jackson Hallum, starting with this road game against talent-laden but up-and-down Edina (2-3-1).

Andover vs. Maple Grove, 7 p.m., Thursday, Feb. 4. After dispatching what figured to be one worthy Northwest Suburban Conference challenger in Centennial 9-3 on Saturday, Mr. Hockey candidate Kyle Kukkonen and No. 1-2A Maple Grove (5-0-0)  take on another in unbeaten Andover (6-0-0) and standout senior Garrett Schifsky.

Cretin-Derham Hall vs. Stillwater, 7 p.m., Thursday, Feb. 4. Super sophomore Ty Tuccitto (6 goals, 5 assists) leads Stillwater (4-1-0) in its bid to hand No. 7-2A Cretin-Derham Hall (6-0-0) its first loss this season.
