Top games: Stillwater's recovery hinges on second win of the season against Cretin-Derham Hall

We task our reporters with identifying several intriguing games throughout the state to assemble our Top Games of the Week. The matchups are presented in no particular order, and when there are additional games we want to highlight, we’ll include them with brief notes.




Other games to keep an eye on

Lakeville North vs. Shakopee, 4 p.m., Saturday, Feb. 27. Shakopee (5-3-1) is in the midst of its best season since joining the South Suburban Conference for the 2014-15 season, and the Sabers’ record start includes a 4-1 win over Lakeville North (7-5-0) on Jan. 28. 

Orono vs. Delano, 2 p.m., Saturday, Feb. 27. Just 14 miles of U.S. Highway 12 separate these towns, and players and coaches from both Orono (7-3-0) and Delano (6-6-0) say games against their neighbors are the most intense of the regular season.
