And the winner is...MN Boys' Hockey Hub Top Performer revealed

Top performer winner

Mason Mikyska, Pine City Area. The junior forward recorded nine points between a pair of 7-6 Dragons triumphs. At North Branch on Feb. 22, Mikyska scored two goals and added three assists in the win. At St. Francis three days later, he scored one goal and added three assists, including his final assist on the overtime game-winning goal. Between the two Pine City Area (8-6-0) wins, Mikyska tallied one goal and three assists on power plays.

Top performer candidates

Dylan Halliwill, Breck. The senior goaltender allowed a season-low one goal, making 37 saves as he recorded his third win of the season as the Mustangs, ranked No. 10 in the Class 1A coaches' poll from Feb. 24, defeated St. Paul Academy 6-1 on Feb. 23. Halliwill gave up the lone goal early in the first period on a penalty kill then was perfect the remainder of the game, posting a .974 save percentage in Breck's (8-4-0) victory.

Joey Kerchner, North Branch. The senior forward had 10 points during two games last week, recording back-to-back five-assist games as the Vikings lost 7-6 to Pine City Area on Feb. 22 then defeated Chisago Lakes 9-3 on Feb. 26. He recorded two of his 10 assists on power plays and one shorthanded. Kerchner leads the Vikings (5-6-1) with 18 assists through 10 games.

Brody Lamb, Dodge County. The junior forward's season-long points streak continued last week, as he extended it to a dozen games with at least one point. Lamb recorded 14 points in the Wildcats' two games. In a 14-1 rout of La Crescent-Hokah on Feb. 26, Lamb scored twice and added a season-high six assists. The next night, Lamb tallied six points — including three shorthanded goals, two more goals at even strength, and an assist — as the Wildcats (8-3-0) lost to St. Cloud Cathedral 8-7 in overtime. Lamb has been one of the state’s top goal scorers this season and boasts an average of 3.83 points per game.

Will Larson, Andover. The senior goalie faced a season-high 36 shots on Feb. 23, recording his second shutout of the season and bolstering the No 8-2A Huskies’ 4-for-4 penalty kill in a 4-0 victory at Totino-Grace. Larson has led Andover (12-1-0) to 10 victories in net this season.
