And the winner is...MN Hockey Hub Top Performer revealed

See who fans voted as the top performer from Dec. 20-23.

Athletes are considered for the weekly top performer poll only if their stats are entered on the MN Hockey Hub by 10 a.m. on Sundays. If coaches or members of their staffs need access to enter stats, please email mnhubs@sportngin.com.


Top performer winner

Max Strand, Roseau. The senior forward produced his second consecutive five-point game, leading the Rams’ 8-3 victory at Bemidji on Dec. 23. Strand recorded a hat trick—his fourth in five games—and added two assists. Strand netted two power play goals in the first period and added a power play assist in the second before recording one more goal and assist in the third.

Top performer candidates

Xander Carter-Kleven, Rochester Lourdes. The sophomore goaltender recorded his second consecutive shutout, and third of the season, in the Eagles’ 5-0 win at Red Wing on Dec. 21. Carter-Kleven backstopped all five of the Eagles' penalty kills and made a season-high 46 saves. 

Spencer Klotz, Northfield. The senior forward led the Raiders’ 10-2 rout of St. Paul Academy on Dec. 21. Klotz, who’s averaging 3.83 points per game through six games, tallied four goals and three assists, including one on the power play, in the win.

Tory Lund, Sartell-St. Stephen. Lund recorded a season-high six points on Dec. 21, leading the Sabres to an 8-0 victory at Sauk Rapids-Rice. The junior forward got the scoring started with a goal 45 seconds into the game. After another first-period goal and a power play assist mid-way through the second, Lund scored two shorthanded goals on the same penalty kill 15 seconds apart. Lund rounded out his scoring late in the third period with a power play tally, giving him five goals and an assist in the win.

Luke Savage, Hastings. The senior forward led the Raiders’ 9-2 victory at Mounds View on Dec. 22 as he tallied a season-high five points. Savage recorded three assists in the second period and the Raiders held a 5-2 lead after two periods. Then Savage helped the Raiders go 2-for-3 on power plays in the third period as he recorded one goal and one assist on the man advantage.
