And the winner is...MN Hockey Hub Top Performer revealed

See who fans voted as the top performer from Jan. 10-15.

Athletes are considered for the weekly top performer poll only if their stats are entered on the MN Hockey Hub by 10 a.m. on Sundays. If coaches or members of their staffs need access to enter stats, please email mnhubs@sportngin.com.


Top performer winner

Jake Peterson, Rosemount. Peterson added to his team-leading assists total in the Irish’s 7-3 victory against Shakopee on Jan. 11. The senior defenseman led the Irish’s 3-for-5 power play, tallying assists on all three goals with the man advantage. Peterson added another even strength assist and a shorthanded goal for five points in the win.

Top performer candidates

Dixon Ehlers, Red Wing. The senior goaltender backed the Wingers’ back-to-back wins last week and earned his first shutout of the season. On Jan. 13, Ehlers stopped all 38 shots he faced in the Wingers’ 6-0 win against Faribault. On Jan. 15, Ehlers, who has the fourth best save percentage in the state this season at .937, made 39 saves en route to the Wingers 3-2 victory at Albert Lea.

Wyatt Farrell, La Crescent-Hokah. The sophomore forward, who leads the Lancers with 25 goals and 32 points through 12 games, contributed five of those points in the Lancers’ 7-6 victory against Minnehaha Academy on Jan. 15. Trailing 5-2 entering the third period, Farrell recorded four goals and an assist, including two points late in the game. Farrell assisted on the game-tying goal with 1:06 left and then scored the game-winner with 13 seconds on the clock to complete the Lancers' comeback. 

Jake Fisher, Cretin-Derham Hall. The Raiders extended their winning streak to seven games with a pair of 11-goal performances last week, led by the junior forward. The Raiders first defeated Mounds View 11-1 on Jan. 13, as Fisher scored once and added four assists. Two nights later, Fisher again tallied four assists, but also scored twice as the Raiders defeated Irondale 11-3.

Gavin Lindberg, Moorhead. The senior forward, tied for eighth most assists in the state (25) this season, recorded a season-high seven points on Jan. 11 as the Spuds defeated East Grand Forks 8-2. Lindberg tallied four assists and notched three goals for his first hat trick of the season, scoring all of his goals in the game's first 23 minutes.
