Hill-Murray senior goalie Nick Erickson missed the past three games because he is "no longer a student" at the Maplewood private school, activities director John Pohl said.

Erickson left with a 7-3 record this season. His last game was a Jan. 6 victory at Tartan. Erickson entered the season as the Pioneers' No. 1 goaltender after posting a 14-2 record as a junior.

Pohl did not elaborate on the nature of Erickson's departure.

Hill-Murray, ranked No. 4 by Let's Play Hockey in the Jan. 19 coaches poll, has won its past three games with junior Jack Erickson (no relation to Nick) between the pipes.

The Tri-City Storm of the United States Hockey League selected Nick Erickson with the 103rd overall pick in the seventh round of the 2021 USHL Phase II draft last May. He is not currently listed on the team roster.
