Karlie Bruns, Morris/Benson Area. The sophomore paced the Storm’s offense at Detroit Lakes on Feb. 4 to lead the team to an 8-4 victory — their first win in over a month. Bruns recorded seven points, the same number she produced in the Storm’s last win. She tied a season high of 6 goals, completing her first hat trick in the first period, and added one assist. 

Sedona Blair, Holy Family. The junior goaltender recorded her fourth shutout of the season on Feb. 5 as the Fire defeated Stillwater 2-0. Blair stopped all 34 shots she faced — her highest shutout-earning saves total this season.

Ella Boerger, Andover. The Huskies’ leader in goals (24), assists (31) and points (55), Boerger helped the team finish an undefeated 24-0 regular season with two home wins last week. In the Huskies’ 7-0 victory against Osseo/Park Center on Jan. 31, the junior forward tallied four assists, including two on power plays. On Feb. 3, the Huskies defeated Wayzata 6-1 behind Boerger’s two goals, including one on a power play, and one assist.  

Jada Brodzinski, Northern Lakes. The senior forward led the Lightning’s 11-0 rout of Morris/Benson Area on Feb. 3, tallying a season-high seven points just three games after recording six points against the same team in a 10-point win. Brodzinski scored four times, including once on a power play, and added three assists, including one on a power play and once shorthanded.

Taylar Nadler, Park of Cottage Grove. The junior forward tallied a season-high four points in the Wolfpack’s 6-5 victory at Mahtomedi on Feb. 4. Nadler assisted on the Wolfpack’s first period power play goal then scored on a power play in the second and recorded her second assist mid-way through the third period. Then with the Wolfpack leading 6-4 with less than two minutes to go, she scored an insurance goal on an empty net — insurance the Wolfpack needed, as Mahtomedi scored with 18 seconds left in the third, proving Nadlar’s goal the game-winner.
