Young Edina sweeps own holiday classic and more

The Overtime Radio show looks back at a busy week in high achool hockey this past week.  Period one features a discussion with OTSN.tv northwestern correspondent Tim Kolehmainen as he reports on East Grand Forks' 3-2 overtime victory over the Warroad Warriors.

Overtime goal-scoring hero Zack Lawdermilt of the Green Wave discusses the game along with co-head coach Tyler Palmiscno and goaltender Hunter Aubol.  Warroad coach Steve Haataja shared his perspective on the game.

In period two, the discussion turned to the Edina Holiday Classic that saw the Edina Hornets sweep the field of Eden Prairie, Elk River, and Grand Rapids.  The youthful team that dresses one senior forward proved that age is not an issue as they played a tough series of games over the three-day period.

Edina coach Curt Giles and Louie Nanne chip into the show with their thoughts and Eden Prairie head coach Lee Smith provides his insights.

Anders Franke backstopped the Elk River Elks to a 1-1-1 record over the three-game series and discussed his team and its play.  Senior forward Jared McGlaughlin is also featured in period two.  Grand Rapids head coach Bruce LaRoque was quoted after the Eden Prairie loss as his team entered the Classic with a five-game winning streak and exited with a three-game losing streak.

OTSN.tv's Tim Kolehmainen shared his top ten games of the week that will be posted on the MNHockeyhub.com for further "Breakdown".  He wraps up period three with Overtime Radio host Pete Waggoner.

A new Overtime Radio Show posts every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday at noon.
