Coach with Minneapolis Park and Rec roots dies at 81

Jeff Shelstad coached at St. Anthony and Hastings and was older brother to two Gophers players.

As a high school senior, Shelstad built a hockey rink for his three younger brothers in the backyard of his family’s home in southwest Minneapolis.
