By MN Hockey Hub staff, 02/14/12, 5:12PM CST

Spartans' game against Richfield on Thursday will double as fundraiser

Simley is sponsoring a Coaches vs. Cancer event at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 16, at Veteran’s Memorial Community Center in Inver Grove Heights as a way to raise money and fight back against the disease.
The event will be held in conjunction with the Spartans' Classic Suburban Conference matchup against Richfield in their regular season finale. Several unique fundraising opportunities will take place during the game.
According to a media release, Simley players, coaches and volunteers hope to bring awareness to the American Cancer Society’s efforts to save lives and create a world with less cancer and more birthdays.
