Maple Leafs turn down an abundance of offers for the Minnetonka alum

Toronto GM Brian Burke received phone call after phone call near the NHL trading deadline, all asking for the availability of Minnetonka alum Jake Gardiner who is considered the top prospect in the Maple Leafs' organization. 

Burke unceremoniously shut down all askers, preferring to keep the young defenseman who is in his first season in the NHL after spending three seasons at the University of Wisconsin.
