Titans Defeat Como Park 8-3

After 3-2 First Period Como Park Lead, Titans Explode for 6 Unanswered.

Jake McKee scored a pair of goals and added two more assists in his team's opening night 8-3 victory over The St. Paul Como Park Cougars. The Titans (1-0) and the Cougars (0-1) traded goals during the first period with Como taking the 3-2 lead into the first intermission. Max Paitich opened the scoring at 2:51 for the Cougars as he scored another goal for the Cougars later in the period. McKee scored the first of his two goals less than one minute later at 3:28. The see-saw battle continued as Steve Mantell caputred the lead for the Cougars at 5:53.

Karl Kreiger picked up a goal and assist for the Titans to help lead his team who scored six un-answered goals. Tartan was whistled for seven penalites as the Cougars were 0-7 on the power-play. Meanwhile, the Titans did not have a man advantage while they still outshot the Cougars 37-19. Tommy Bakker made 29 saves for the Cougars.
