Woodbury Defeats Farmington 8-1 in Opener

The Woodbury Royals stormed out to a 4-0 first period lead on goals by Mike Mezzano, Tony Pittman, Max Gaede, and Matt Pederson as they rode that crest to an 8-1 victory over the Farmington Tigers. They Royals Connor Delaney added two goals as Pittman also scored twice in the game.

Farmington's Tylor Babenek answered to make if 5-1 at 12:10 of the second period. Tony Pittman notched his second of the game and finished with an assist for the three point evening. The Royals outshot Farmington 34-9 on for the game and look forward to their next game at Rosemount Thursday. Farmington will take on St. Paul Como Park Saturday evening.
