Duluth East mostly toyed with Anoka in a 5-0 high school boy's hockey win Monday at the Heritage Center, as forward Kyle Lutzka scored twice and goaltender Matt Cooper posted his third shutout of the season.
Bulldogs recruit Max Tardy had a goal and two assists for the Greyhounds (5-0-1), who will be tested at Moorhead at 7:30 tonight.
Several college and professional scouts were in the house, mostly to watch Greyhounds star defenseman Derek Forbort, a 6-foot-5, 215-pound junior defenseman who has verbally committed to North Dakota.
One pro scout nailed it when asked about the Greyhounds and Forbort, in particular: "It's like East is playing pond hockey. They're so relaxed with the puck, and they don't give it away. Especially Forbort."
