FHS roundup (Tuesday, Dec. 29)

ROSEAU — The Faribault High School boys hockey team dropped a 6-2 decision to ninth-ranked Alexandria on Tuesday at the Roseau Holiday Tournament.

Despite outshooting the Cardinals 25-22 in the game, Faribault (7-3) fell to a top-10 Class A squad. FHS will face Roseau at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday.

The Cardinals (4-1-1) had just five shots on goal in the third period, but three of them went in against Falcons goalie Wyatt Andreas, who had 16 saves on the night.

Senior George Richie finished the game with two goals, and Bo Putrah and Sean Lipinski each added assists. For Alexandria, Thomas Williams scored two goals and added an assist.
