It took 51 shots to get one into the net, but the Rogers Royals finally got that done in overtime to defeat Coon Rapid 1-0 at home Tuesday evening.

Vinny Billing scored 6:24 into the extra session, with assists from Dustin Schoepke and Jake Moss, to salvage a victory in a game where the Royals outshot the opponent 51 to 12.

Zach St. John was in the nets for the Cardinals, making 50 saves. The Royals were 0-for-5 on power plays. Jackson Nelson made 12 saves for the Royals.

Rogers (1-1) will host Shakopee on Thursday.
